Frequently Asked Questions
Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about life at Glen Park, including information about care services, amenities, daily living, and community support. Our goal is to help residents and families feel informed, comfortable, and confident every step of the way.

Glen Park Senior Living proudly serves families throughout Southern California with communities located in Glendale, Long Beach, Valley Village, Monrovia, Glendora, and Ojai. Each location offers compassionate senior care in a warm, comfortable, and supportive environment.
Our communities offer a range of personalized senior living options including assisted living, memory care, respite care, adult day programs, and coordinated hospice support depending on individual needs and location.
Assisted living may be a good option when daily activities such as medication reminders, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, or housekeeping become more challenging, while maintaining independence and quality of life remains important.
Assisted living provides support with daily living activities while encouraging independence. Memory care is specially designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and includes a more structured, secure, and supportive environment.
Prior to move-in, one of our team members conducts an in-person assessment to ensure that we understand your healthcare needs and can provide the highest level of care. This involves reviewing a recent physician's report outlining your current health status and a thorough review of your medical history. This ensures that we're familiar with your unique health profile and can tailor our services accordingly.
Beyond the medical, we believe that a personalized approach to care is essential. We take the time to learn about your preferences and normal routines. This knowledge allows us to create an Individualized Care Plan (ICP) that not only meets your healthcare needs but also aligns with your lifestyle and preferences.
Our commitment to your wellbeing doesn't end once the care plan is in place. We understand that your needs may change over time, and we're prepared to adapt accordingly. To ensure that you're receiving the most effective and appropriate care at all times, the ICP is regularly reviewed and updated to meet your evolving needs.
We must stress an important understanding for potential residents and their families - if an assisted living facility asserts that residents can remain indefinitely, even as their healthcare requirements increase, extreme caution should be exercised. It's possible the facility may not be properly equipped to address the escalating health needs of the resident through their lifetime, and they may be legally restricted from providing such services.
At Glen Park, we provide several avenues for our residents to age in place, but each individual community has its own set of regulations that govern the level of services we can provide in an Assisted Living environment. If a resident's health needs advance beyond what is legally permissible, we pledge to aid the resident and their family to identify an alternative setting that can best accommodate the resident's evolving requirements.
We always strive to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents, and occasionally, this implies transitioning them to a facility that can provide a higher level of care when needed. Our team is equipped to identify changes in health conditions and collaborates with families to chart out the most suitable direction forward. We appreciate how daunting decisions about long-term care can be, which is why we work to foster a supportive, understanding environment
Yes. Most Glen Park communities include chef-prepared meals, snacks, housekeeping, laundry services, maintenance, and social programs as part of daily living services.
Yes! Glen Park has a medication management program in each of our communities, and medications are managed by a trained Medication Technician that will dispense all medications (over-the-counter + prescribed) through the Multi-Dose Bubble Pass Delivery System, which is a state of the art system that provides accuracy, ease of administration, and efficiency. All residents have the option to use our Preferred Pharmacy, that his highly recommended. Otherwise, if a resident would like to opt and continue to use an outside pharmacy, there is a small monthly fee for our Preferred Pharmacy to convert medications into our medication pass system. Our Preferred Pharmacy is willing to match most of the outside pharmacy prices, but if you want to double check, or if you have questions about specific medications, feel free to reach out.
Of course! We want Glen Park to feel like home, so whether that means bringing your own furniture, hanging pictures on the walls, or packing up your favorite plants, you always have the option to personalize your space. Alternatively, if the idea of moving seems overwhelming, rest assured, because our accommodations come completely furnished at no additional charge.
We understand the importance of a family pet. Most Glen Park communities allow residents to have pets in their rooms. There is a one-time pet fee and an evaluation will be done prior to move-in to ensure that proper care for the pet is possible and/or in place. Be sure to check with the Glen Park community near you.
