Internist
Dr. James Lee, M.D.
Dr. James Lee is a board certified Internal Medicine doctor who has been practicing since 1989. He completed his residency training at Rutger’s New Jersey Medical School where his primary care experience was from moonlighting in the emergency room and urgent care centers. Dr. James Lee has lectured in various hospitals on early detection and management of Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Acute Viral Myocarditis, Fever of Unknown Etiology, Basic Electrolyte Interpretation and Management, Comparison of Arterial Blood Gas to Oxymeter, and Renal Tubular Acidosis. Dr. James Lee is also a member of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, and a Member of the American College of Physicians. He has an undeniable commitment to his patients and supports them with information to make appropriate choices to benefit their health. Dr. James Lee has an office at 1500 S. Central Ave #320, Glendale CA 91204 and is available to manage and follow his patients out of Glendale Memorial Hospital, which is imperative in the management of his patients’ medical ailments. Dr. James Lee has been serving Glen Park Senior Living for over 20 years. His wife is also medical doctor and he enjoys golfing and jogging frequently at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

Psychiatrist
Dr. Michael Tolwin
Dr. Michael Tolwin has been a practicing psychiatrist for over 30 years. His medical group, Tolwin Psychiatric Medical Group, sees patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with his primary office being located in Culver City, CA. Dr. Tolwin works at Del Amo Hospital, Southern California Hospital- Culver City, and is the medical director at Ocean View Psychiatric Health Facility. Dr. Tolwin was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He attended the University of Wisconsin for undergraduate and medical school, and moved to California to attend USC for his psychiatric internship and residency in 1981. Dr. Tolwin enjoys spending time with his family, as well as hiking, doing yoga, and traveling.

Psychologist
Roni B. Maccabee, PhD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. I have an advanced graduate degree in Education from Boston University and a PHD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My long-time psychotherapy experience consists of integrating cognitive behavioral techniques with psychodynamic theories pertaining to diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation related to several areas of mental illness and psychological conditions. I utilize various modalities in my theoretical psychotherapy approach including Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, Mindfulness/Meditation, and Stress/Anger Management. My clinical area of specialty includes geriatric psychotherapy, with specific attention to their related neurological disorders and aging issues for the past decade. I have been providing psychological services to elderly population in various settings including major Assisted Living Facilities such as Belmont Village, Sunrise, Beverly Hills Carmel, Silverado, Meridian, Glen Park, etc. I have been providing psychotherapy to individuals and groups presenting with a wide range of diagnostic symptoms including depression and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, and substance dependency. In addition, I have also extensive work experience dealing with the case management services in the field of forensic psychology, handling complex cases for the various mental programs of Department of Mental Health, focusing on the criminal behavior, legal issues, homelessness, and substance abuse.

Psychiatry Specialist
Dr. Alan Markie, MD
Dr. Alan Markie, MD is a Psychiatry Specialist in Pasadena, CA and has over 36 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from N. Narimanov Azerbaijan Medical Institute in 1985 and then came to Los Angeles to complete his residency. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as Adventist Health Glendale and LA Downtown Medical Center and multiple nursing facilities in the area.

Dr. William Sim
Dr. Sim was born in Seoul, Korea, and later immigrated to the United States upon receiving an invitation from the U.S. government for legal residency. This invitation was extended to his family due to his father's 18-year tenure with the US Army in Korea. Subsequently, they obtained naturalized American citizenship and settled in Glendale, eventually witnessing his graduation as the valedictorian from Herbert Hoover High School within the same city. Having achieved academic excellence, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry with honors from Yale University. His pursuit of knowledge continued as he completed his medical education, obtaining an M.D. degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1990. Following this, he underwent rigorous training in internal medicine at the esteemed UCLA Medical Center, where he also served as a clinical instructor for UCLA while actively practicing in Downey. Since then, he has maintained a thriving group practice primarily based in Downey, complemented by his involvement in diverse research endeavors encompassing cellular biology, neuropathology, and neuroradiology. Consistently demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence, he has remained board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine throughout his career. Furthermore, he assumes the role of medical director for prominent assisted living facilities located in Glendale and Los Angeles, leveraging his expertise in the specialized care of elderly individuals within such settings. Outside of his medical endeavors, he finds enjoyment in engaging in golfing activities alongside his wife. Additionally, he undertakes the significant responsibility of serving as the main Scoutmaster for a substantial Boy Scout unit, orchestrating camping trips and facilitating various outdoor pursuits. His devotion to spiritual matters is evident through his ordination as an elder within a medium-sized Presbyterian church in Anaheim, where his faith and compassion for the ill profoundly influence his approach to clinical care. He considers it a true blessing to have the opportunity to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to the remarkable individuals under his purview.

Podiatry
Dr. Norman Balacuit
Dr. Norman Balacuit has been in private practice in Monrovia, CA since 1999. He attended Claremont High School and UC Santa Cruz for undergraduate education. He attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, and residency training at Community Hospital Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He is board certified with the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. His hobbies include traveling, reading, dance, music, piano, guitar, golf and sports. He is passionate about patient care, and serving those in need.

Dr. Jittima Jirasetpatana
JITTIMA JIRASETPATANA, D.P.M. – Podiatrist Dr. Jittima Jirasetpatana is a board-certified podiatrist with over 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions. She is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Jirasetpatana earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from California State University, East Bay, and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Samuel Merritt University College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly: California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco). She completed her residency training at Cedars Medical Center/University of Miami Hospital in Miami, Florida. Her practice is located in Glendale, adjacent to Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center. She is affiliated with Glendale Memorial Hospital and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.

Dr. Matthew Lefferman, DO is a pioneer and leader in geriatrics and mobile medical care. As the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Access Healthcare Associates, he has spent over a decade delivering personalized, in-home care to seniors across the greater Los Angeles area. His work spans home visits, assisted living, memory care, and hospice, focused on improving quality of life and reducing unnecessary hospitalizations. He is also a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations and a frequent speaker on aging, memory loss, and chronic diseases - bringing deep expertise and a passion for compassionate senior care.

Dr. James T. Beaty
James T. Beaty, DPM is a podiatric physician with more than 25 years experience in the medical field, in private practice and affiliated with Community Memorial Health System. Dr. Beaty treats all disorders of the foot and ankle specializing in Geriatrics, sports medicine, surgery, diabetic care, bio mechanics/ orthotics, and preventative care including neuropathy, fungal nails, and calluses.

Dr. Irina Rodriguez
Dr. Irina Rodriguez graduated from UEES in 1992 and had 28 years of experience. Dr. Rodriguez was an Auxiliary Professor for Endodontics and Pedodontics and has constantly updating her knowledge with more than a 100 of continuing education hours every year that includes implants and bone grafting at USC, tracing for Implant Placement by Serona Orthopos as well as for Orthodontics and Oral Conscious Sedation and Nitrous or Laughing Gas for kids, youth, and adults. Dr. Rodriguez and her team are dedicated to giving families the best in dental services at affordable and accessible prices. Her team as well is constantly taking courses to better serve the community. Dr. Rodriguez serves the community of Ojai as well as nearby areas of Lake Casitas, Santa Paula, Carpinteria, Oxnard and Ventura.

Dermatology
Dr. Ronald Rigor
Dr. Ronald Rigor is a board certified doctor in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. After finishing his dermatology residency in the Philippines, Dr. Rigor went to the USA in 2001 to pursue his passion for medicine. He took his USMLE and then his residency training in Internal Medicine in St. Louis, MO then Dermatology in Davenport , IA. Dr. Ronald Rigor currently holds a private practice in Pasadena, CA and serves multiple nursing homes all over LA.

Primary Care Doctor
Dr. Keino Rutherford
Dr. Rutherford is a Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He completed his Medical degree and training at Howard University in Washington DC. Dr. Rutherford has been working in the medical field since 2002. Born and raised in the Bahamas, Dr. Rutherford has laid back, personable disposition, but strongly focused on his goals. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming and spending time with his family. Dr. Keino Rutherford is an Attending Physician at Sherman Oaks Hospital, Encino Hospital Medical Center, and Chino Valley Medical Center. His continuum of care efforts expand into the community within the skilled nursing, assisted living and board & care facilities.

Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine
Dr. Ilana Solomon
Dr. Ilana Solomon is a dual board certified physician in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She obtained her medical school training in sunny Henderson, Nevada at Touro University Nevada- School of Osteopathic Medicine where she utilized a holistic approach to medicine to optimize medical care. Dr. Solomon attended UCLA for her geriatric medicine fellowship in Los Angeles, California after completing her family medicine residency at PIH Health Whittier. Dr Solomon also has extensive experience in occupational medicine, urgent care and skilled nursing facility medicine. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dr Solomon has made Los Angeles her home for the past decade and appreciates the sunny weather on the West coast. She is fluent in English and Russian and can attempt to speak Spanish if no one is grading her performance.
