The Glen Park Care Excellence Program (CEP) is our signature approach to delivering exceptional, person-centered care — rooted in decades of hands-on experience as a family-owned and operated organization.
Through CEP, every member of our team completes advanced training guided by industry leaders with over 40 years of experience in assisted living and memory care. Our curriculum integrates nationally recognized methodologies, including Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care, DSP Year 1 and Year 2 training, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), traumatic brain injury education through the Relias program, and certification-based content from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).
Our communities follow CARF accreditation standards developed over years of implementation, reflecting our continued commitment to quality, accountability, and best practices.
This comprehensive and structured training equips our team to confidently support even the most complex residents with skill, compassion, and consistency — creating environments where individuals not only receive care, but truly thrive.

Nationally Certified Dementia Education
Glen Park proudly has three Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainers (CADDCT®) on our leadership team. Through this nationally recognized program, our staff complete comprehensive Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care training and earn their Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP®) credential.
This education equips our caregivers with advanced knowledge in:

Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® (PAC)
Our staff are also trained through Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) Dementia Educator Certification Program, preparing them to become true Dementia Champions.
Teepa Snow’s Approach™ focuses on understanding which parts of the brain are changing — and how to use the abilities that remain. This hands-on, skills-based training helps our team:

✔ Lower stress for residents and families
✔ Improve communication using brain-based techniques
✔ Deliver deeply personalized, respectful support
PAC training includes demonstrations, guided practice, and mentor feedback — building real-world confidence in every caregiver.
CPI Certified: Crisis Prevention & Verbal De-Escalation
Because dementia can sometimes bring moments of confusion, anxiety, or agitation, we have a Certified CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Instructor on our team who provides ongoing, in-house crisis prevention training.
CPI is the world’s leading evidence-based de-escalation program, used by over 17 million professionals. Our staff are trained to:
✔ Recognize early signs of distress
✔ Use calm, supportive verbal techniques
✔ Safely de-escalate challenging behaviors
✔ Prevent crisis situations before they escalate
✔ Preserve dignity while maintaining safety
This proactive approach creates calmer environments and safer outcomes.
Expanded Expertise for Specialized Cognitive Needs
While our primary focus remains senior assisted living and memory care, Glen Park is also equipped to support a limited number of individuals who are Regional Center clients living with memory impairments related to developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries.
Our team includes staff who have completed:
✔ Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) certification training
✔ Direct Support Professional (DSP) Year 1 and Year 2 certifications, as required by the State of California
A high percentage of our team maintains DSP certification to meet state requirements and provide structured, person-centered support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
This additional training enhances our overall clinical awareness and further strengthens our ability to tailor care to each resident’s unique cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs.
